Adopt Or Foster With Freedom Frenchie Rescue!
July Spotlight: Drift
This guy is one of a kind and got his name because of how hard he plays and when he gets going he drifts his back legs, it is the cutest yet epic experience we have seen in an IVDD rescue. Drift has what we call IVDD 1, one of his vertebrae's his not shaped correctly (v shape). He does not have a ruptured disc and he gets around great standing on his back legs all the time. Drift typically only drops his legs when he is settling down and playing with a toy or tug of war with a buddy. He was surrendered at Riverside county shelter and no other rescues stepped up to get him. Drift plays nonstop with his friends, sometimes to much since he is a puppy and we put him on crate rest for a few hours, or just let him have the yard with more chill dogs so he isn't playing so hard and has a break to lay around. He is friends with every dog and is a popular guy with all his fur friends! When he takes a break he snoozes hard and gets himself ready for round 2.
This guy has had some nay application but it is very apparent that people are just going off his looks and not reading his profile. Drift is not in a diaper as he can control his bowels. He does pee when he gets excited, but who cares!! We have dogs in our rescue that do not have IVDD and pee when they get excited! So who wans to love this guy forever because he has a lot of love to give!!

Mo continued to see the breed she loved & adored on Facebook in shelters and in need of help In SoCal. She knew living so close, she couldn't stand by and not try and help. With her past of being denied by other rescues because of high maintenance standards, she dove in with drive and determination and found many in the community who were gracious and got hands-on training knowledge both with rescue/adoption. This brought her love for the breed and the over population with medical needs to life. She was destined to have Freedom Frenchie Rescue: giving French bulldogs a second chance no matter what the situation is, and not to be overlooked like she was. She knew she could provide the difference alongside her two children helping along the way, giving everyone a chance to love this beloved breed. "I want to bring the community together and educate people on this breed. There is to much out there on French bulldogs that is just not accurate information."
Freedom Frenchie Rescue is on a mission to advocate and build a humane community that promotes compassion, protects, and educates, for the French bulldog. September Sponsor of the Month: Cheech
Cheech is a goofy, ball-obsessed Frenchie who thinks life is all about fetch… and honestly, he might not be wrong! This little guy would chase his ball 24/7 if we let him, but right now he’s preparing for something much bigger—TECA surgery (Total Ear Canal Ablation). Yes, another one of our Freedom Squad members needing this life-changing procedure.
The estimated cost for Cheech’s surgery is $4,500, depending on how deep the infection and buildup are once our veterinary specialist gets inside his ear canal. This surgery will finally give him relief from years of discomfort and allow him to live the full, happy life he deserves—ball in mouth, tail wiggling, and surrounded by love.
We can’t keep saving medical-needs dogs like Cheech without the support of our incredible village. Every donation helps—big or small. If you’d like to be an angel donor for Cheech, please email us at FreedomFrenchieRescue@gmail.com and we’ll provide our veterinarian’s contact information for full transparency.
Together, we can give Cheech his chance to thrive and keep obsessing over the one thing that makes him happiest—his ball!
We cannot do this alone anymore. Thank you for being a part of her village.
